I would like to echo those points from Greeners. A big thanks to Gurdy for all his hard work and t shirts. Thanks to Eddie for bringing the kit and even though he was injured still came on tour to support us and score games.
Chippy for umpiring and clearing open spaces.
Thanks to Greeners for making me laugh lots with 2 breakfasts and the table incident.

Thanks to all that came and enjoyed a great weekend. Its a credit to the club.

And finally a big thanks to our Hosts who make us feel welcome and wanted at all times. Please make sure a letter is sent their way.

Roll on 2012 Tour

Thanks to everyone that made the effort to come along, brilliant fun weekend.

Well done to the organisers especially, it was very well organised. A nice new fixture, some lessons learned for next year and the food in the pub is still good. :-)

For those of us that were there at Mersham on Saturday to see their First XI beat Bexley 3's to give themselves a chance of staying in the Premier Division of the Kent Regional League will be sad to know that results did not go Mershams way last Saturday and they were relegated to Div 1. Hopefully when we return next year (fingers crossed) they'll be celebrating promotion back to the Prem and we'll see this guy

Tour feedback as I understand it.

Good.
Elham Valley.
Mersham Sports CC.
The Sunday Night Do (Roy Carter and Crystal Best)
Food at the Farriers.
1PM starts (more time post match and less time doing nothing in the morning).
2 Tesco breakfasts.
Tour T shirts.
Well attended tour (good company).
The ale was better this year.
Nice golf course.*

Bad.
Stale fixtures.
Nasty Golfers.

* A suggestion for 2012 is that anyone who wants a round should travel down in Friday morning and play golf on the Friday afternoon.

Comments please.

Gutted I missed the tour this year. Looking forward to it next year and would love to play golf - a nice walk in the afternoon makes the beer go down even quicker!

1. EXCELLENT TOUR - SO WELL ORGANISED.

2. Elham CC - love to play there next year; They have achieved; to what we aspire to. Their own GROUND.

3. Mersham Hosts - Absolutely superb Hosts.

4. Farriers - Caution! Glass Tables. Beer vg; Grub even better.

5. 1300 starts - I think so.

6. 3 Breakfasts (when REALLY hungry). B'fast at 0930 is not good for my tummy. Self-Drive in '12.

7. Attendance: Gr8 Camaraderie.

8. Golf on THE Fri for those that can. Then Cricket for the rest of the Tour.

9. Repeat the Pink Vest.

Overseas Tours?

IOW!
France - got a few teams. (mainly in South)
Germany - ditto
Belgium - ditto
Italy - ditto
Spain - has a team or 12 (the guy that does the voice over for SEAT (car) is Captain of one team!
Greece - has 21 teams. Just watching Jo Lumley on ITV; and she gave up 6-8 mins of her docu to show a team fm UK winning by a slight streak in Corfu!

Bound to be others.....?

Kent Tour for 2012 is very safe!

We ALL want to play at Elham Valley CC; AND EXPERIENCE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE to a "FIELD" and now have a proper Cricket Ground all to themselves.

We ASPIRE to that sort of DEVELOPMENT.

I thought about joining a team when I was living there.

Sounds good to me!

Fun as all that sounds, I think we have committed to at least two matches in Kent next year boys.

I woudl be more than up for an over seas tour at some point though, it's only another hour from where we stay to get to France. If people have enough notice, the costs are negligible, especially as French eating our etc is much cheaper than in the UK. As long as you are not in Paris of course.
