A quick report on the day

In the first game the toss was lost and and we batted first the top 5 batsmen failed. In go JB and Cameron who add 70 to the score. Cam is out for 26 and Jb 40 no with Gurdy adding valuable runs to post a good total off over 130.

We bowl and bowl and field great and bowl them out for 65 wickets for Rishin Lawrence Gurdy and Ian H some good catches by chin music and mustang great run out by JB.

We are in the final and with a few hours to chill.

We watch the other semi and see our oppo for the final post over 190 we know it will be a tough game

I lose the toss and we bat which was our plan anyway. Ryan and Smudge go early and Rishin and Laney enter adding a 50 partnership. We are told by locals 140 is a winning score. Rishin is out JB goes in and gets runs going against a very good fielding team. Jb is bowled we need another 30 or so for that total Mustang goes in and hits out. Laney is run out hes blowing so gets fresh legs in. Cam is in we run a 3 and put the pressure on the oppo getting to 140 with a over left. Cam gets caught with a ball left Gurdy comes in Mustang on strike and its 4 byes. 151 on board great job batting Mustang 17 no

We bowl smudge gets two early wickets and mustang takes a catch of Rishin to the delight of hooligan hill.
There big hitter comes in we deploy our tactic 2 fielders at cow corner having seen him in the Semi. Lawerence gets a wicket.
Then up steps JB to the roar from the hill he takes a hatrick and gets rid of the danger man. He gets 4 in all. Lawrence takes the last wicket we win by 60 runs. A great fielding display by all.

WE ARE CHAMPIONS

BBCC first trophy and what a day.

My thanks go to my team for a great cricket display to Colin and Chippy for being in tbe squad ans playing vital roles.

To Jb who scored over 60 runs in 2 games to set totals got a run out took 4 wickets including the famous hatrick and was rightly named mam of the tourament. Superb

To all the family that came to support us and to Hooligan hill the club members who cheered and booed everything ( not always at the right times ) but great support.

Thanks to The Mellor Group for a great day in great surroundings.

Well done to our great club we raised our profile.

Great photos.
You can really see how much effort people put into their batting and bowling.

Yes,  I can vouch for the run out by JB - stunning fielding.
