This morning I clicked to go back to the main page of the forum from the pm section and all I got was a white screen. I cleared cookies, history and cache as T1000 suggested but no joy in getting the forum up. I was able to access the forum from another PC for a short time but the same thing happened there when I performed the same operation. This was all on IE8.

Has anyone else had the same thing or anything similar happen to them?

I have just installed an alternative browser and have been able to access the site with that (so far).

Yes. So has Eddie, Mustang et al.

Not only is there Beeding sniper...

There appears to be BBCC forum sniper too; he/she is obviously doing his/her rounds....

I use Fire fox exclusively and have no problems at all. Does seem to be something odd in IE, clashing with WoWBB some how.

Not surprising really, IE is a steaming pile of merde.

You can download Firefox free of charge here:

http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.6.8&os=win&lang=en-GB

It is more secure than Internet Explorer and I think it has much better features.

Opera is another good alternative, you can download this free of charge at this address:

http://www.opera.com/

It has a very good feature set also.

Also Google Chrome is very fast, but low on features, if you just want a very simple, fast reliable browser then it's a good bet:

To be honest, I am constantly amazed at how many people just stick with IE.

Wow!

Opera is faster than SoffaSh!

Work that one out. you will.

Thanks again T 1000.

P.S. Perhaps you can help Richy with his Linky Bit for his Charity 1/2 Marathon Run on 3/10. See his thread on Cricket Chat posted Weds 18/8.

Fitz and I cant access the LB to sponsor him.

Any help you can give so much the better; and gratefully received.

Regards,

Just got WSOD with FF. I got the forum back by clearing my cookies. T1000 is there any way to set the forum so that it auto deletes any cookies when a member logs out?

Greeners has WSOD. Both Aitch and myself have tried to cure the problem remotely but with no success to date. :X

Has anyone got any idea what causes the WOD or any sugestions for a cure apart from deleting cookie and the cache. Oh yes Greeners has tried swopping to MFF which worked with me.

As per 1st post, I was returning from a PM when it happened to me. After several resets it only happened when returning from a PM. Maybe something there?
