Oh Dearie,

Are Eng under the cosh to lose their No 1 status place in Test Cricket 5 mins after taking several years of achieving it?

This "odd" 3 match series has already got us: Ambushed & Trounced in 2.

3 of theirs are in UK doin' rock crushing; they aint Gardening.

I do not have the "edge" to watch it on telly; but having read the NP's & seen the OL Reports..

SO, WELL DONE Monty.

All to play for in the 3rd.

I also hear that "PM' shoe grabbers" down under have stirred into life & have THRASHED & TRASHED India.

It's all going on in Test Cricket....

No mention of Groundsmanship in Abu or Dubai.

AND ...I think that is a VERY POOR reflection on the part(s) of NP's & OL reporting.

Anyone in the Club care to comment on Eng's WOES?

Cos nothing has been posted on this Thread since 09/12/11.

We can all Pontificate....

...like who is the next Capt; and Cook IS NOT ready........... yet.

After defeat in the 1st test, when the batting failed, they did what they always do ~ they changed a bowler.
KP and Morgan ~ time for a rest. Bell maybe as well.
Bopara and Davies are out there, why not give them a go? Can't do any worse.
:doh

Thank you.

That is Constructive...

Any more Members contributions to our National teams' woes.

It's not good and a really poor effort...

Agree with Aitch England should lose Morgan. IMHO he is in no way a Test Match batsman. He's great smacking the white ball about in the limited overs stuff but in 'REAL CRICKET'; when the going gets tuff he gets out.

Replacements; Bopara how many chances has he had? Davies is he any way near test class as a specialist batsman? Personaly I think England are barking up the wrong tree with those two as test match players.

I would definitely try to get Taylor in the team for the next tour (Sri Lanka) before the summer, he uses his feet against the spinners unlike the current middle order.

As for Davies, a keeper that bats in the top order for Surrey should be more than qualified to bat at 6 or 7 for England.

KP is past his best & should only be in the ODI team as should Morgan.

Now that's what I call constructive...

..even the Press/Media are shameful they got it wrong.

Looks like SA will be top of the tree by the end of the 3rd Test!

Anyway we have a Curry to enjoy, then..

They have been out classed.

Cook and Kp a dangerous opening pair both happy to let the other take control.

Great seam bowling by Finn getting rewards.

I think Monty was a given to be in the squad after being top English wicket taker and only playing 2 of the 3 games. Four spinners in the squad I think that says something about the pitches and the conditions the matches will be played under.

Nothing from anyone on the 1st Test in Galle.

Not even from our own pitchside reporter in thye fortress!

I have not seen any action on a telly; any good?

Bell batted better than the other batters...

...only our batters didn't bat long enough to give our bowlers enough rest (considering the temp(s)) out there?

Fielding?

Aerial catches/ing!?
